Why are we here?

Hello students and visitors,

I am an instructor at the JAcksonville Early College Program at Robert E. Lee High School in the Avondale section of Jacksonville, Florida. I also am an adjunct ptrofessor of Education at FCCJ. Our EC program houses 9th and 10th graders and prepare them to attend dual enrollment courses at the local Community College FCCJ, by their 10th grade and continuing through their Senior year. They have the opportunity to achieve both a High School Diploma as well as an Associates degree.

This homepage is my portal to connect to my AP World History and Economics class wikis and student wikis. I wanted a place to tie it all together and give links to the important links and blogs for our classes. I want this to be a rich, online collaborative environment that will extend our classroom time into cyberspace. These sites will enable students and parents to interact and share ideas, projects and assignments with each other. I want to infuse as much of the Web 2.0 next generation internet into my classroom. Though my classroom only has 4 PC's and 3 laptops for student use many of our students have access at home, FCCJ and Public libraries arounf Jacksonville, FLorida.

My Social Studies Portal is at : BouchardJ.PBWiki.com to reach my classroom sites and individual student sites.

Thanks for stopping by.

Notifying Visitors of Site Enhancements

Another idea for my home page's text is notifying visitors about the enhancements I put on my site. For example, I want visitors to sign my guestbook or fill out my survey Form E-mailer to answer questions about my site, my business, or my site's topic.

Getting Rich Quick--From My Site!

I might not want a large amount of text on my home page if I want to guide visitors toward my other pages. Instead of text, I can add others' buttons to this first page, and I'll be rewarded for people who click on the buttons. For example, if a visitor signs up for a Visa using the NextCard button on my site, I earn at least $20!
